The NFL season is finally here! There is much excitement for the Green Bay Packers as a wave of young talent, including Jordan Love, takes over. Week 1 kicks off against their hated rival, the Chicago Bears. Here are three questions heading into week 1 for the Packers.

Who Is The Go-To Target In The Passing Game?

There is no shortage of tantalizing talent in Green Bay. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs return for their second seasons and look to build on last year’s successes. Jayden Reed is the speedy slot receiver that the Packers have been lacking for years. Luke Musgrave looks like a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. What we don’t know is who is going to get the targets. Every quarterback has people they trust more than others. Does Love have a favorite, or does he spread the ball around evenly?

Can The Green Bay Packers Avoid A Week 1 Letdown?

The last two seasons have not gotten off to great starts. Two years ago, the team got shellacked by the New Orleans Saints 38-3 in one of the worst performances the team has had in the past decade. Last year, the team could only manage one touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings, and Justin Jefferson had a career day. The team later corrected, but stumbling out of the gate is never a good way to start. Will this year be different? The starters have all played throughout the preseason and seem to have a good handle on things to begin the season. If the Green Bay Packers can get off to a fast start, it could help build their confidence early.

Can The Defense Finally Be Dominant?

The last quarter of the season saw enough improvement for the team to keep Joe Barry on as defensive coordinator. There is no excuse now for not having a top-half-of-the-league defense. Kenny Clark and second-year player Devonte Wyatt look to solidify the line inside. Rashan Gary looks to be back from injury and will join Preston Smith, Kingsley Enagbare, and first-round pick Lukas Van Ness on the edge. Quay Walker and De’Vondre Campbell make up a good linebacker room, and Jaire Alexander is one of the premier cover corners. We won’t mention the safety room. The best way the team can help Love is to have a dominant defense. The talent is there. Now they just have to execute.

The Green Bay Packers are one of the youngest teams in the NFL, which makes this season a lot of fun for fans. The past couple of years have been so much pressure that this season will be fun to watch despite the prospect of not winning as many games.
