2024 NFL Draft Rankings 2.0:

The 2023 college football season is over and the 2024 NFL Draft season is upon us. Midway through the season, I gave my initial rankings. With variance in consistency, surprising draft risers due to on field play, and even more surprising prospect returns to college (NIL is great), this version of the rankings is vastly different.

With quarterbacks like Shedeur Sanders, Quinn Ewers, & Carson Beck deciding to come back to school, the top of the signal caller list is much thinner than previously imagined. Running back depth took a blow with Jonathon Brooks having an ACL tear. Wide receiver and offensive tackle are as deep as I can ever remember. Contrast that with arguably the most sparsely talented tight-end and guard classes in recent memory, prioritizing the talent in the 2nd and 3rd rounds will be paramount for franchises looking for those positions.

Defensively, the field is not littered with “high end” talent, but there’s plenty to love. The defensive back group is following last years trend with excellent depth and versatility. The pass rush group is deep and bustling with talented players with tools to be molded. Interior defensive line isn’t necessarily deep, but there’s certainly specific fits for every defensive scheme. The linebacker group as whole leaves a lot to be desired, but the top tier is worth the hype.

Overall, I think this is a solid pool of prospects. As stated in previous posts, this is the second of three rankings. Mid-season, post-season, and post combine. With that said, let’s get into the 2024 NFL Draft 2.0 rankings.
