No one is perfect. The streak was going to end eventually.  I Just wished it happened under more respectable circumstances. The Philadelphia Eagles got a humbling experience by getting kicked in the mouth by a 2-3 team they were undefeated against all time before today. Some people kept us in the game. And a lot of people handed their team the first loss of the season. Let’s talk about it.

Philadelphia Eagles: SLAY

Philadelphia Eagles' A.J. Brown Says Donovan McNabb 'Should Know Better' over Jalen Hurts Comments | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report

A.J Brown

Brown once again became the team’s best offensive player and stood among his peers with another triple-digit performance. Brown caught seven passes for 131 yards, with some catches being heavily contested and out of reach for most receivers.

Hasson Reddick

Old Hasson Reddick couldn’t have come at a better time. The team sack leader did all he could as many teammates behind him were dropping like flies all game. The man recorded two and a half sacks and two tackles for loss that maintained the Eagles’ lead up until the last 90 seconds.

Despite the secondary battling through several injuries before and during the game. The defense as a whole played particularly well. As they held the offense to 244 total yards and the rush offense under 100 yards; the 5th time they accomplished this on the season.

Philadelphia Eagles: BOMB

Josh Jobe

It’s getting to that point where if the ball is headed in Josh Jobe’s direction, it’s most likely going to be first down, even in the rare occurrence where he does make a play. It became a penalty for a first down.

As a second-year undrafted player, you couldn’t expect much and could honestly blame the coaches for putting him on the Jets’ top receiver. But that doesn’t remove the fact that he’s held the defense back from a more dominating performance.

Jack Driscoll

When Lane Johnson went down in the second quarter, the offense took a step backward that a lot of people were not expecting. Backup tackle Jack Driscoll was struggling significantly as he allowed a team-high eight pressures during the time he was playing against the Jets.

One of these pressures included a devastating interception as the pass rusher beat Driscoll and hit Jalen Hurts’ arm as he was throwing the football. Fortunately. Lane Johnson and the Eagles dodged the bullet as his ankle injury is considered week to week and expected not to miss multiple games. This offense looked so stagnant when Driscoll came on and it’s a miracle that Lane isn’t missing as much time as people first thought.

Devonta Smith

Hopefully, this will be the only time that DeVonta Smith will land on the Bomb list. The former Heisman winner was uncharacteristically bad with a pair of drops, including a wide-open pass that was a guaranteed first down and a possible touchdown if he had caught it.

As Brown and Goedert get more attention this past few weeks, it is normal for Smith to be the odd man out. But in those two situations where Jalen needed Smith to move the chains, Smith couldn’t get the job done, and it bit the Eagles In the long run

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts this year has been an anomaly. Throughout the season he would have these beautiful perfect throws that put him in conversations with Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert. But then have throws that can support the argument that he’s a one-year wonder in the next drive. This game was no different.

In the first three quarters, Jalen Hurts wasn’t perfect, but he was carrying the team despite his teammates failing him with drops, a fumble, and allowed pressures and sacks. This was until the fourth quarter when Jalen Hurts threw a game-losing interception, giving the Eagles their first loss of the season.
