The San Francisco 49ers had a huge win against the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving. The 49ers won the game 31-13, which was a crucial NFC West win. While Seatle has fallen to a 6-5 record, the 49ers are now 8-3 ahead of a huge matchup next week. Here is a look at the top San Francisco 49ers players, and who will need to step up next weekend.

Charvarius Ward

This was a big game for cornerback Charvarius Ward. He really needed a good game following weeks of being called for penalties, and a couple of plays last weekend that he could have done better at. Ward had D.K. Metcalf locked down, which was a big reason that the 49ers’ defense did not allow a single touchdown in the game.

Throughout the matchup with the Seahawks, Ward had five total tackles and three passes defended, according to ESPN. Of course, this does not include the times he just had strong coverage. Metcalf had three receptions despite being targeted nine times. He almost had an interception, maybe two, but he could not get it. Either way, he played well for the team. Ward exited the game for a couple of plays, but it was reportedly just due to cramps, and he should be fine. Hopefully, this was just the momentum boost he needed ahead of next week.

Deebo Samuel

Wide receiver, Deebo Samuel had a big game for the 49ers. It may not have been the largest receptions, but they were important plays. In the game, Deebo had seven receptions for 79 yards, according to ESPN. He also had four carries for 15 yards and one touchdown. Last weekend, Brandon Aiyuk had a big game.

This could be a factor as to why Deebo was able to get open. It is hard for defenses to prioritize a player when facing this 49ers’ offense. Once the defense started locking Deebo down, Aiyuk and other receivers were able to get open. Still, Deebo had a strong game for the 49ers. Whether he has the ball in his hands or not, he makes a difference when he is healthy.

Jon Feliciano

Overall, the offensive line had one of their better games. The left side of the offensive line had a really strong game. The right side definitely had its moments where they struggled. Quarterback Brock Purdy actually did have a couple of plays where he had a comfortable amount of time in the pocket, but right guard, Jon Feliciano could have had better moments.

Feliciano allowed four pressures against the Seahawks, the most in the game. Looking back, it was not as bad as it may have seemed, but it could have been better. One thing to note is that there is a chance that starting right guard Spencer Burford will return by next weekend. The added rest, being this was a Thursday game, is a big help for the offensive line to get healthy again.

Next up, the San Francisco 49ers will head to Philly to face the Eagles. This will be a huge NFC showdown, as these two teams last faced each other in the NFC Championship last year. This was the game where Purdy faced his elbow injury. The defense had a great game against the Seahawks and will want to do it again next week. This will be a huge matchup, but luckily for the 49ers, they do get a couple of days of added rest.
