Welcome to the DTF Three-Round Mock Draft for 2023 with the staff mock draft for the New York Giants. For this mock draft, I was in the mind of the Giants, who might focus on potentially replacing Saquon Barkley. I want Barkley to stay, but sadly see the Giants replacing him with an elite prospect in Bijan Robinson. Along with him is getting offensive guard Andrew Vorhees for offensive line depth.
Vorhees’ abilities in the guard position could help the Giants’ weak depth become much better. New York needed offensive line depth for years and could go with it to protect Daniel Jones long-term. I have also made a trade that could make sense for the Giants’ wide receiver core.
DTF Three-Round Mock Draft: New York Giants, 1st Round Pick, Bijan Robinson
For the 25th overall pick, the New York Giants will pick Bijan Robinson, a running back from Texas. The Giants have placed the franchise tag on Saqoun Barkley in the offseason and have not come to practice. With Saqoun Barkley not signing the franchise tag and waiting for a new deal, New York could pick him. NFL teams have replaced running backs with rookies during the draft, and it won’t shock people if they replace Barkley.
Robinson from the film study is an excellent running back that could do well in the Giants system. Along with his abilities is the chance he could be another franchise back and another weapon for Daniel Jones.

For the second round, I have the Giants pick Andrew Vorhees, an offensive guard from USC. The Giants need offensive line depth for years and could do well in the guard position. Andrew Vorhees, in his scouting reports, shows he is an excellent option for the guard position for the Giants. The Giants’ offensive line, besides the tackles, has little depth and could be improved by drafting a guard.
Along with the weak depth is the Giants line losing pieces in the offseason, and be useful for the Giants line. This mock draft gives the Giants getting help with the line, which could make them competitive. If they make this pick, the Giants’ offensive line would be much better.
DTF Three-Round Mock Draft: New York Giants, Trade For Courtland Sutton
The DTF mock draft I have done also includes a trade that could be controversial but will benefit the team. In the mock draft, I have the Giants trade a third, fifth, sixth, and next year second-rounder for Courtland Sutton. The Giants’ wide receiver depth is weak, with only resigning Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard in the offseason.
During last season the only Giants receiver to have over 500 yards; were Darius Slayton and Richie James. Cortland Sutton, a pro bowler in 2019, could benefit from a new system. Along with adding a new receiver for Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, he is also giving something to the Broncos. The trade would do well in helping the Giants’ offense improve for 2023.
DTF Three-Round Mock Draft: New York Giants, Overview For 2023
With this DTF Three-Round mock draft in 2023, there is hope the Giants could improve. I believe I did well in this mock draft and hope is good enough. Picking Bijan Robinson could do wonders for the Giants’ running game in the future. If the Giants could keep Saquon Barkley, he and Robinson could be a two-back powerhouse.
New York will need an offensive guard, so getting Andrew Vorhees is a great idea. This could help New York with its line problems. New York could also make a trade for a receiver like Sutton if the right offer is made. This mock draft could be possible for the Giants due to the new management protecting and improving the team.
