The Defiant Takes Football staff put together a three-round mock draft. Here’s a look and the Green Bay Packers draft picks in the first three rounds, including some trades. Keep reading for the full three-round mock draft, and continue to scroll down to find out the Staff GMs for each NFL team.

Green Bay Packers Draft Draft

I started with a couple of trades in the first round for the Packers. I have to say Max Dean and I nearly nailed the exact compensation for Aaron Rodgers. We just missed the value of the conditional pick.

Trade 1: Jets receive Aaron Rodgers, no. 15 overall, no. 149 overall. Packers receive no. 13 overall, no. 42 overall, conditional 3rd 2024 (2nd if he players in 2024, 1st if he is an all-pro in 2023), WR Corey Davis

Trade 2: Chargers receiver no. 13 overall. Packers receiver no. 21 overall, no. 85 overall, 2024 3rd round pick.

Round 1 Pick 21: Edge Myles Murphy, Clemson

This is the draft to move back in and gather more picks. With all of the trades, The Packers have five picks in the top 100. Murphy was a prospect that I would’ve taken at 13, but I ended up getting him at 21, which was a huge win. I stayed away from the offense. The top receivers and tight ends were off the board, and I knew I could find value later. Pass-rushers are a premium position, so I went in that direction.

Round 2 Pick 42: WR Cedric Tillman, Tennessee

I know that I picked up Davis in the Rodgers trade, but I felt the Green Bay Packers needed to flood the wide receiver room with talent. With so many receivers on the board, I decided on Tillman because of his size. Yes, the speed of Christian Watson and Jalin Hyatt would have been fun on paper, but I don’t see if working on the field. Also, I love Romeo Doubs, but I would hedge in case he does not develop in the way many expect.

Round 2 Pick 45: OL Cody Mauch, North Dakota State

Have you seen this guy? He screams, “I am a Green Bay Packer!” While the offensive line is one of the better ones in the league, there are some aging parts. Yosh Nijman is likely in for a big payday next season, and I doubt the Packers will pay the price. David Bakhtiari is a likely cut candidate next year because of his contract. Getting Mauch in the building and developing for a year is exactly what the team needs.

Round 3 Pick 78: S JL Skinner, Boise State

I really do not like this safety class overall, but the Green Bay Packers have a huge need for a safety. I was not going to spend any premium draft capital on one, but I like getting Skinner in the third round, especially because this is the bonus pick I got from the Chargers. Skinner is big at 6-foot-4 and is a heavy hitter. The Green Bay Packers need a hard-hitting safety who isn’t afraid to get in there to stop the run.

Round 3 Pick 85: TE Luke Schoonmaker, Michigan

Someone told me that I missed getting a top tight end, and maybe that’s true, but this class is so deep. The fact that I was able to get Schoonmaker here in the third round is great. Is his ceiling as high as a Michael Mayer or Dalton Kincaid? No, but Schoonmaker is a good blocker who stretches the middle of the field well. I feel this prospect gets lost in the class when he is actually a really quality player and will do well for the Green Bay Packers.
