With the NFL season getting closer, there need to be three break out candidates for the New York Giants to contend. After a strong season last year, New York has several players that could break out. The Giants have three players that could break out from the defensive side and one from the offensive side. There are two defensive players that the Giants could rely on to break out. If these defensive players break out, the Giants could have a great season ahead for 2023. Along with the defensive stars, an offensive star would need to break out too. If these three Giants candidates break out, they will have a potential contending year for the team in 2023.
New York Giants Break Out Candidates: Kayvon Thibeaux

The New York Giants have three potential stars in hand, and if everything goes well could help them win. New York needs to keep developing these stars to their potential with Brian Daboll’s coaching. One of these stars is Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibeaux a 2022 first-round pick for the Giants. Thibeaux, a highly touted rookie, had a decent season with four sacks. New York’s potential break out star Kayvon Thibeaux has shown flashes in the 2022 season, including a sack against Lamar Jackson. Kayvon Thibeaux said he wants to improve his sack total for the upcoming 2023 season. This upcoming season could have Thibeaux as a defensive cornerstone if he is healthy and continues to develop.
New York Giants Break Out Candidates: Cor’Dale Flott

Another defensive player that could break out for the Giants is cornerback Cor’Dale Flott, who is starting for the team. Flott, a third-round pick by the Giants in 2022, had a decent rookie campaign with a forced fumble in 2022. The upside of Cor’Dale Flott is tremendous, fitting into the Giants defensive scheming of man-to-man coverage. Flott has the potential to be an excellent corner for the Giants, especially with veterans, including Adoree’ Jackson. Cor’Dale Flott’s prospect notes before being drafted to the Giants were “good instincts” on the field. If Flott makes the improvements that the Giants coaching staff knows he can make could benefit him greatly. If Flott could improve his skills, he could break out in 2023.
New York Giants Break Out Candidates: Isaiah Hodgins

The New York Giants break out candidates for the defense are immense, but there are also offensive players. A potential player that could break out for the New York Giants offense could be wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins. Hodgins, after being claimed from waivers, became a fan favorite to fans catching for over 300 yards with four touchdowns.
This season could help develop Hodgins becoming a key weapon for Daniel Jones and the New York Giants offense. New York even resigned Hodgins in hopes he could develop further for the Giants offense. The Giants could have Hodgins as a top receiver and could; break out further in 2023 if he plays well. New York could have a terrific receiver for a long time.
New York Giants Break Out Candidates: Overview
If these three New York Giants break out candidates break out, they will have a potential contending year for the team. The Giants former first-round pick Kayvon Thibeaux could have a better 2023 season and break out big for the Giants. New York’s defense could also have Cor’Dale Flott break out for the Giants secondary and could solidify the secondary. The Giants also could have a great offense, with Isaiah Hodgins improving to be a top receiver. New York has a roster that, if everything goes right, could contend with the best.
