The Baltimore Ravens flew across the pond and defeated a Tennessee Titans 24-16 team looking to find their identity in the AFC South.
The game began with both the Ravens and Titans kicking field goals. However, the cheers for Baltimore got louder and louder as rookie Zay Flowers caught his first regular-season touchdown in the first quarter. Flowers caught six receptions for 50 yards and scored the only touchdown of the game for Baltimore.
Lamar Jackson completed 21 passes for 223 yards and threw a touchdown and an interception in the victory. Jackson also rushed for 62 yards on 13 carries.
Other pass catchers who played great on the field are Mark Andrews, who caught four receptions for 69 yards, and Odell Beckham Jr. who caught two receptions for 34 yards.
Defensively, Geno Stone caught a Ryan Tannehill interception for 24 yards while Patrick Queen had nine tackles and a sack, and Jadeveon Clowney had two tackles and two sacks on the day.
On the Titans side of the ball, Tannehill completed eight passes for 76 yards and threw one interception before leaving the game with an ankle injury giving backup Malik Willis a chance to play. Willis completed four passes for 74 yards.
Derrick Henry rushed for 97 yards on 12 carries and scored the Titans’ only touchdown of the game.
For the remainder of the game- scoring came through field goals from Justin Tucker of the Ravens and Nick Folk of the Titans, respectively.
The Ravens rebounded offensively after dropping the ball too many times (seven in total) in their 17-10 week five loss to their AFC North rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Titans, on the other hand, leave Great Britain with more questions at quarterback- with Tannehill leaving the game with an injury that could sideline him for a couple of weeks.
The Ravens wide receivers were more alert and caught more receptions leading to Flowers scoring his first touchdown of the season and raising hope of more touchdowns to come as the weeks continue to fly by.
The Tennessee Titans enter a week seven bye week before returning to action against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 29 at 1:00 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens return to the United States for a tough week seven matchup with the on-the-rise Detroit Lions on Oct. 22 at 1:00 p.m. E.T. On FOX.
