The New York Jets lost to the Miami Dolphins in Week 15 with a score of 0-30; their performance on Sunday was the worst loss of the season. It was a disaster for the Jets on Sunday, and the loss eliminated Gotham City from the playoffs. Zach Wilson was forced out of the game with a concussion and did not return.
The New York Jets’ offense was unable to produce any points against the Dolphins before Wilson’s exit, and with the season nearing an end in a couple of weeks, the Jets are focusing on next season. Zach Wilson is likely to miss the Week 16 matchup against the Washington Commanders as he is still in the concussion protocol; the Jets see no reason to rush his recovery.
New York Jets Slay
The Jets defense slays Week 15 despite giving up 30 points to the Dolphins. The defense looks tired but these guys have played well the entire season. The Jets DTs were at least able to sack the Dolphins QB 3 times: DT Soloman Thomas 1 sack, LB Bryce Huff 1 sack, DT Quinnen Williams 0.5 sacks, and DE Will McDonald IV 0.5 sacks. The Jets remain one of the top defenses this season, and fantasy managers should feel confident starting them against the Washington Commanders in Week 16.

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa slays in Week 15 against a tired Jets defense. Tagovailoa completed 21 passes on 24 attempts for 224 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions. Tua was able to find his receivers despite playing without the top wideout Tyreek Hill. Tua faces the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve, and fantasy managers should continue to start Tua if your team is in the playoffs.
Dolphins’ veteran RB Raheem Mostert slays in Week 15; despite splitting carries with rookie back De’Von Achane, Mostert’s 42 yards on 15 carries and 2 touchdowns; Mostert also had 2 receptions for 1 yard. Nonetheless, he helped the Dolphins solidify the win. Mostert continues to be a force on offense with 18 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns on the season. Week 16’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys will be tough, but fantasy managers should feel confident starting Mostert.
WR Jaylen Waddle slays in against Gotham City in Week 15 with a monster performance on Sunday. With fellow wideout Tyreek Hill with a sore ankle, Waddle was busy all afternoon with 8 receptions for 142 yards and 1 touchdown. Sunday’s touchdown was Waddle’s first since playing the Patriots in Week 8. Hill is expected to play in Week 16, limiting Waddle’s target share, but fantasy managers start Waddle if they’re in the playoffs.
Dolphins’ kicker Jason Sanders slays in Week 15, connecting on all 3 field goals, his longest going for 37 yards. Sanders also converted on 3 extra-point attempts. Sanders has come alive in recent weeks; the Dolphins face a formidable opponent in Week 16, so Sanders should continue to see plenty of opportunities for field goals.
New York Jets Bomb
The entire Jets offensive unit bombs in Week 15 against the Dolphins. The offensive line was unable to contain Miami’s defensive pressure all afternoon, allowing 5 sacks. Zach Wilson completed 4 passes on 11 attempts for 26 yards; Wilson exited Week 15’s game with a concussion and did not return. Backup QB Trevor Siemian entered the game but was unable to generate any momentum and score.
Siemian completed 14 passes on 26 attempts, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions against the Dolphins. The Jets were unable to get their top players, like WR Garrett Wilson 3 receptions for 29 yards, and RB Breece Hall 12 yards on 6 carries. Week 16 matchup against the Washington Commanders will provide more opportunities to score for Siemian as the Jets look to end their season on a positive note.
The New York Jets activated Aaron Rodgers from the Injured Reserve list last week. However, Rodgers is not cleared to play. Despite being eliminated from the playoffs, head coach Robert Saleh expects his players to remain focused on Sunday’s matchup against the Commanders. Many players are attempting to make the roster for next season, so the final 3 weeks of the season will be of significance for Saleh and his staff.
