After a 40-0 blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys, this is a look at the New York Giants Slay and Bomb this week. During the loss, the Giants run game with Saqoun Barkley looks to do well the rest of the season. Another positive is the Giants’ defense doing alright in the loss against the pass game. The loss against the Cowboys was due to the Giants being sloppy with the offense, especially Daniel Jones. Along with the loss is the Giants’ offensive scheming not going well with the weather. Another part of the loss against the Cowboys is the offensive line doing horribly against their defensive front. This game could harm the Giants in many ways against legitimate contenders.

New York Giants Slay and Bomb: The Secondary Future Slayers

While the New York Giants defense gave out to the Cowboys, they had decent moments in the game. The Giants defense held Dak Prescott down to 143 yards but couldn’t stop the run game. New York’s defense had some good stops, with Deonte Banks, who had done well in the preseason and had broken some passes. But sadly, the secondary couldn’t stop some big plays, including a massive pass to Ceedee Lamb. New York’s defensive secondary could be decent but will need to improve to win.

Bomb: Daniel Jones

A giant dud on Sunday night is Daniel Jones and the offensive pass game in the blowout loss. Jones passed barely 100 yards for the game, with two costly interceptions. Seeing Daniel Jones play poorly with the entire team going down with him was a brutal sight. Along with playing terribly, the Giants did not score a point due to the Cowboys’ defensive front. Among the many mistakes of the Giants with Jones is the scheming falling apart for them. Daniel Jones passes to the receivers while decent did poorly with fumbles in the game. If this offense continues to play badly, this season will be difficult for the New York Giants.

Slay: Saquon Barkley Is Still Amazing

Another stud for the Giants this week was Saquon Barkley, who had a decent game. While the offense struggled, Barkley ran around 50 yards for the team. While it could have been a better night, the run game for the Giants is decent. The Giants had moved the ball well in the first drive, with Barkley running the ball. Hopefully,  the scheming for the Giants will be better in the season in the future. New York will need Barkley to have another excellent season for the Giants to contend.

New York Giants Slay and Bomb: The Offensive Line Is A Dud

Another dud was the offensive line that has harmed the Giants in this blowout loss. The offensive line had misplayed throughout the night, with penalties and sacks. New York’s offensive line had let Daniel Jones get sacked seven times through the night. Along with the Giants not performing well is the pre-snap penalty by Andrew Thomas in their first drive. The false start cost the Giants field position, leading to the special teams’ collapse in a blocked field goal. The offensive line played poorly throughout the game, and hopefully, they could play better in the season.

New York Giants Slay and Bomb: Overview In Week One

While it is the first game of the 2023 season, this game could harm the Giants against genuine contenders. New York Studs are in the running game, and the secondary did well even though the team lost. Those aspects could help the Giants win this season. The offensive line and Daniel Jones were the Giants’ duds on primetime, which collapsed. New York must improve, especially with Daniel Jones, who just signed a new contract. The New York Giants Slay and Bomb could make or break this season if they don’t fix their issues. Even if the Giants could win next week, they must improve upon these issues to contend in 2023.
